As you step into PappaRich, you’re greeted by a spacious and inviting dining area that offers a communal vibe, perfect for enjoying a meal with family or friends. This establishment prides itself on celebrating Malaysia’s rich culinary heritage, and its menu reflects just that. Standout dishes include the limited-time offering, the NLB2 Nasi Lemak Burger served with chips. This creation takes Malaysia’s iconic national dish and gives it a delightful twist, featuring a thick fried chicken patty, accompanied by a fried egg, fresh cucumbers, peanuts, anchovies, caramelised onions, and a fiery sweet sambal mayo—truly a treat at A$21.90.
PappaRich's menu doesn’t stop there; it boasts a plethora of Malaysian favourites that are sure to make your taste buds dance. From the Organic Soya Milk (Iced Blended) ($9.50) to the nostalgic Milo Dinosaur (Iced) ($8.50), the drink selection is as enticing as the main courses. For those seeking something different, the Barley Grass Jelly (Iced) ($8.50) is a refreshing choice, providing a unique twist with its iced, sweetened barley flavor topped with grass jelly.
While customer reviews mention some inconsistency in service, many highlight the remarkable flavors of the dishes. Patrons rave about the Chicken Chop with Curry, Wat Tan Hor, and Roti Canai as staples that rarely disappoint. Even the less consistent dishes, like the Mee Goreng, have their defenders who appreciate the restaurant’s willingness to adapt and improve its offerings over time.
Your experience at PappaRich will likely be enhanced by the mindful attention of the staff, who work diligently to keep the service flowing smoothly. However, it’s worth noting that the busy atmosphere can lead to occasional wait times during peak hours—a small price to pay for such delectable Malaysian fare.
Overall, PappaRich The Glen encapsulates the diverse flavors of Malaysia in a warm and welcoming setting. Whether you’re indulging in a classic tandoori chicken with roti or sipping on a refreshing watermelon drink, every visit promises an experience that keeps you coming back for more. So, if you find yourself in the area craving authentic Malaysian delights, make your way to PappaRich and treat yourself!
“ As you can see from various reviews, their service is inconsistent on various visits - a bit of a toss of a coin every visit. That said, the food is good although they could do better with their consistency of mee goreng. Our favorites - Chicken Chop with Curry, Wat Tan Hor, Roti Canai & Mee Goreng Updated: Their Fish soup noodles is also yummy! ”
“ Consistent in taste, and service. A good go-to for Malaysian food at the shopping centre. Most dishes are pretty good and service is usually fast. Drinks are yummy too and there's sufficient staff to ensure prompt service to customers. The restaurant tends to get quite some flies - though the fly trap does its job, they could do with another at the other size of the seating area since the area is quite big. ”
“ The veggie laksa I got was unexpectedly oily. I was expecting more fresh veggie toppings, but it actually came with fried eggplant, tofu puffs and bean curd skins. I liked that they didn’t skimp on the toppings though ”
“ The food has always been great here, the price is fairly reasonable. The wait time at peak times can be long but the turnover is pretty quick so it's worth the wait. I don't usually goto this venue but it was the most recent I went to so I'm reviewing it here. The drink and samosa were both way over priced but the rest of the meal was good quality and a fair price for the size. The samosa was delicious but for that price I think you should get 2. Overall a good experience. If I was in the area I would go again ”
“ The Glen location is in a great spot, feels like a proper dining area and spacious and easy access to everyone. Food has always been consistently good and dependable of the food you’re getting. Chicken rice is always a go to but this time around decided to try something haven’t ordered for a long while, which was the tandoori chicken. The tandoori chicken with roti was really nice, always really like how they served it. The maryland chicken was tender, juicy and has enough sauce to satisfy and the roti and dips went along with everything, especially the yogurt. Satay chicken was tender and went refreshingly well with the onion and cucumber. The watermelon drinks were really refreshing it never fails to satisfy. The service okay, when I needed help they came to help. Overall I’ll come to this location when I want some easy Malaysian food. ”
“ Service is good and atmosphere is great. I think theres a variety of food on offer in the menu. For me , i think just ok. Nasi lemak dishes - the rice is a bit overcook which is a shame as i really enjoyed the ayam berempah (fried chicken) which is quite generous in size. Sambal a bit too sweet. CkT- its a no for me Chicken rice - this is decent and the soup is good. ”
“ Nice new looking place, and we could walked in on a Sunday at midday, but not long after it became full and there was queue to get in. Had their beef hor fun and it was very salty, and not much veggie in it at all. Good place to hang out but yea not sure about the foods. ”
